Outline

This project rose to the challenge of realizing a model for comfortable but energy-saving environment with the greatest possible use of natural energy sources. The focus was placed on lifecycle energy-saving measures for small and medium-sized office buildings which account for the majority of urban fabric. An "ecological core" was created to construct a vertical path of light and wind, enabling natural ventilation and light to flow in from both sides of office spaces. This innovative use of space also promoted communication among workers on different floors. Energy and resource efficiency was achieved with the artful employment of recyclable materials, rainwater, and insulation material.
