This comprehensive facility is centered round a 650,000 book library, integrating a historical data room, conference room, childcare support center, and broadcasting university satellite space. The deep cantilevered floor plates and eaves ensure that during opening hours year-round, window blinds are not required, enabling floor to ceiling glazing for natural light and views. The boundary between the central park and library is blurred with the water and greenery seeming to penetrate into the interior. The double height volume of the reading room and a small waterfall visible throughout add to the feeling of walking in the park and being close to books.
