Outline

Saitama Super Arena is a multi-purpose stadium composed of an exhibition center for music, sports and exhibition events, together with commercial spaces. The facility is multifunctional and contains a 41.5-meter high, 15,000-ton moving block with concourse, shops, restrooms, and 22,500 seats. The moving block, facilitated by separation and connection ducts and cable reels, can move 70 meters horizontally and expand the stadium to 37,000 seats. The 130m x 130m fan-shaped roof structure creates a pleasant space for public events and has become a symbolic monument for the Saitama New Urban Center (Saitama Shintoshin).
