Outline

Located near Nagoya Station, this site contains offices, commercial facilities, and a cinema. The world's first transparent, double-deck shuttle elevator enhances passenger transport and provides a vertical perspective of the surrounding cityscape. The building has the highest open-air observation deck in central Japan and is accessible by the public. The creative use of lights and water-jet devices evokes the dramatic image of a floating city. The commercial wing is composed of shops located around a five-story atrium. Vibration control devices at the top of the building and specially designed floors in the middle section dampen the effects of earthquakes and wind.

Building Use: Office, Retail, Theater
