Outline

The design of this facility required special environmental measures and building flexibility in order to meet the ever-changing needs expected from an innovation center. The site's vast area and the use of its natural gradient were both instrumental in the structure's design. The three story building has a vast 6,000m2 office space on the third floor.  The second floor is used as a corridor and communication area. Cogeneration, the use of recycled rain water, and photovoltaic solar panels have all been implemented. Under-floor air conditioning units and both task and ambient lighting are used within the office space. Deep eaves provide shading and vertical blinds provide Japanese-style ambiance.
