The design of the HQ building focuses on integrating its varied built surroundings of classical stone & brick while acknowledging its location on a green belt within Osaka, the water capital. At the same time, the Bar Association's ideals of as transparency, public openness, persistence and environmental friendliness are symbolically reflected. The structure has been pulled outside to form an external frame of ceramic clad 450mm×450mm members, delivering transparent interiors and views, unobstructed by structure.
