Kawamoto Pump Tokyo Building

This Tokyo branch building of the pump manufacturer Kawamoto Pump Manufacturing incorporates the design objectives of "Combining Design・Structure・Equipment" and "Appropriate scale for small offices" in an effort to beautify its surroundings. Through integrating built in storage and overhead AC and utilizing PC floor structure doubling as lighting reflectors, a 3.05m floor height is achieved. The fine-grained steel structural exoskeleton with intumescent paint received special ministry approval and, in combination with the large double glazing, achieves a stylish vertical look, reduces dead space and lighting loads and creates an open feel. Integrating numerous active technologies, the building achieves a Class A CASBEE rating.
