Outline

This reconstruction of the popular department store in Kobe had completed within extremely short period reviving from the unprecedented disaster of "the Great Hanshin Earthquake". The façade was designed, using granite and spandrels, to be consistent with surrounding western styled old residential town, the famous scenery of Kobe, and interior layout was considered carefully decorated with bright colors for visitor's joyous rambling.

The concept of its overall design was consistent from even furniture to the façade design and surrounding landscape, realizing a highest standard grand scale commercial space.
