Jiahe Wang

After graduating from high school in 1997 and studying in Japan, Jiahe Wang joined Nikken Sekkei in 2006, where he works in the Urban Design Department. His current areas of focus are TOD, urban renewal and public space design. Following years of work on master plans and urban design, he feels that he has gained some insight into issues that are often overlooked. Many of the urban issues Japan faced in its period of rapid economic growth until the bubble economy collapsed are now being faced by China at a rapid speed. However, it is not possible to refer to the experiences of other countries directly because of differences in systems and customs. As professionals, Nikken Sekkei is obligated to accurately recognize and remedy these issues. He would like Nikken Sekkei to play a part in creating a harmonious society by collaborating with governments, clients, alliances and the media from multiple angles.
