Kainan Fu

Kainan Fu joined Nikken Sekkei after graduating from Kyushu Sangyo University with a doctorate in engineering in 2003. Through over more than a decade of work at the company, he professes to be most impressed by three attributes: 1) Nikken Sekkei's neutrality and comprehensive design capabilities, 2) its inclusive and international design team, and 3) its persistent study-oriented design attitude.
Mr. Fu’s home country of China is currently undergoing transformation, and faces numerous challenges, including anti-corruption and political integrity, real estate regulation, and new forms of urbanization. The construction and development of Chinese cities requires feasible, creative strategies and technological methods. As a front-line urban planner, he seeks to contribute to the nation’s urban development from a border-transcending, global perspective.
