Kyoji Okada

Kyoji Okada joined Nikken Sekkei in 1982, and moved to Nikken Sekkei Civil Engineering in 2001. He has participated in many urban, architectural and civil engineering projects around transportation nodes in Japan and abroad, from the concept design and urban planning phases, to the design development and construction phases. This includes transportation planning, underground masterplans, urban infrastructure revitalization, station plazas, underground malls, public utility tunnel projects, car parks, pedestrian and parking networks. In 2014, he became a board member at Nikken Sekkei Civil Engineering, then vice president, and finally President and CEO in 2019. He was appointed senior director following an organizational merger in April 2022. He is a professional engineer and a first-class architect and has been in his current position from 2024.
