Naoto Tanaka

Dr. Naoto Tanaka joined Nikken Sekkei as a Civil Engineer in 1995. He studied Civil Engineering in Japan and obtained a Ph.D Degree from the University of Manitoba, Canada. Since he joined the Nikken Sekkei, he has been involved various geotechnical and geo-environmental engineering projects.
Dr. Tanaka has also been working in consultation and design for urban planning and civil infrastructure, such as Tower project feasibility, metro station/tunnel, and underground reservoir. In these projects, he kept close contacts with the clients and collaboration with other disciplines to realize clients’ intention for the total performance of the projects. While working for these projects, he has been engaged in project management for geo-environmental, pharmaceutical plant, and underground utility tunnel projects. With these experiences, he has been in charge of business development for international projects. In academic activity, he has been acting for teaching at universities for project management and planning.
