Framework for Promoting Health and Well-being
Initiatives for promoting good health
Since 2017, we have also established a mid-term health management plan (Health Design), which sets specific numerical targets for key health indicators. Progress toward these goals is regularly reported to our board of directors to evaluate the effectiveness of our health promotion efforts.
Each year, the company president issues an internal Health Management Declaration, affirming our ongoing commitment to creating a safe and supportive work environment and promoting personal well-being. The declaration also outlines priority initiatives for the year, reinforcing our aim of further enhancing employee health.

Nikken Sekkei recognizes the legitimate exercise of union rights—including the right to organize and the right to collective bargaining—by employees who are members of the union, following the collective labor agreement in place. To ensure that all employees are able to work with pride and fully demonstrate their capabilities, we hold regular management–labor council meetings to improve working conditions and foster constructive labor relations. In addition, we strive to enhance productivity by facilitating dialogue with clients and collaborators, and by integrating and sharing technical knowledge and expertise through digital tools.
Mechanisms for Improving Workplace Environment
To respond swiftly and fairly to grievances related to evaluations, treatment, and similar matters of individuals, Nikken Sekkei has established a Grievance Committee. Furthermore, to address issues related to the physical work environment and to consider employee feedback, Environmental Improvement Meetings (chaired by the regional office heads) are held at each of our regional offices in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Kyushu, and Hokkaido. Through these initiatives, we are committed to fostering a comfortable and supportive workplace for all employees.
