Cityscape Global 2016. Nikken Sekkei showcases Nou Camp Nou for the first time in the Middle East

Cityscape Global 2016, the Middle East’s most prominent real estate exhibition which runs from 6 – 8 September at Dubai World Trade Centre, has become the stage for Nikken Sekkei to showcase FC Barcelona’s iconic football stadium, Nou camp Nou, for the first time in the Middle East.

The expansion and renovation of Nou Camp Nou has attracted great interest from visitors from the region and all over the world, who had the chance to speak to members of Nikken Sekkei’s Dubai-based design team, as well as members of the central Japan based team.

The existing Camp Nou, is one of the largest stadiums in Europe. The proposal requirements include plans for complete refurbishment, a roof installation, and a capacity increase to 105,000 spectators. Construction work is due to start in 2017 and will be complete by 2021, during which time the stadium will remain operational.

As a yearly appointment for Nikken Sekkei, Cityscape Global 2016 is an opportunity to meet and greet clients, partners and new prospects. This year in particular, it has also been an occasion for Nikken Sekkei to introduce the new alliance with Buchan Group, one of the most important one-stop design company in Australia; and to present to the public the over 15 ongoing prominent projects settled in Japan, Dubai, Russia, the UAE, India, etc.
