Nikken Sekkei Ltd. and the Nikken Group of Companies response to preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19)
- In response to the Japanese government’s announcement on May 25 to lift the state of emergency -

 On May 25, the Japanese government lifted the state of emergency around the nation.

 As we observe the changes in society and workstyles that have resulted from the spread of COVID-19 around the world, Nikken Sekkei and the Nikken Group of Companies are driving forward with actions together with our clients to create a new society, taking a panoramic view of cities, architecture and the environment following the decision to life the state of emergency around the country.

 Nikken Sekkei will implement the following business practices in all offices in continued consideration of the safety and health of our clients and employees in our ongoing response to the requests made by the Japanese government for lifting restrictions (proceed slowly and in stages, continue to implement the positive changes that have been made, and remain vigilant against the virus in daily life).
  •  Employees will return to offices in stages, while they continue to engage in new styles of working, including the positive developments made in working remotely.
  •  The main entrance to the office will be opened gradually from May 27 and normal operations will resume.
  • We will focus on implementing new ways of working in the future through the use of online meetings.

 In the event that new policies or other recommendations are again issued by the national or local governments in the future, we will review our response and policies accordingly.
