This facility’s spa comprises a separate building on Halekulani Okinawa grounds, while inheriting the Hawaii Halekulani Hotel's philosophy of "timeless elegance" and "calm, restful hospitality.” In the midst of thick trees that contrast with the vast oceanfront, guests can experience the moment for themselves as if swaying in the shimmering waves. Stepping into the entrance from a sunlight-bathed corridor, a space of restrained light and silence awaits. Inspired by undulating ocean waves, the dynamic ceiling design invites guests to enter. The opaque color scheme is reminiscent of beautiful white seashells. The décor of the arc-shaped lounge walls offers subtle reflections like the shimmer of rippling waves. The illumination dims from the lounge to the changing rooms, calming the uplifted body and mind. In the hydrotherapy area, the bathtub faces a naturally-lit courtyard, allowing enjoyment of the soft sunlight, breeze, and, during the rainy season, the sound of raindrops on the garden’s water basin. Tranquility, serenity, darkness and sparkle are the key design elements that comprise the Halekulani Spa space.
