Using dry jointing techniques that allow for easy disassembly and reuse, the pavilion offers an experience that merges the concepts of “inside and outside” and seamlessly blends exhibition and architecture. Approximately 1,500 trees, including some transplanted from the Expo ’70 Commemorative Park and various parks within Osaka Prefecture, were used to create this forest. Period : April 13 to October 13, 2025Venue : Yumeshima Island, Osaka Theme : Designing Future Society for Our Lives– Expo Venue Landscape DesignClient: Japan Association for the 2025 World ExpositionExpo site design producer : Sou Fujimoto | Landscape design director : Hiroki Kutsuna | Lighting design director : Hiroyasu Shoji | Schematic design, design intent communication, design supervision : Nikken Sekkei発注者 : 一般社団法人 日本ガス協会基本設計 : 日建設計|実施設計・意図伝達 : 日建設計+奥村組(構造)Client: The Japan Gas Association | Schematic design : Nikken SekkeiDetailed design, design intent communication: Nikken Sekkei and Okumura Corporation (structure)
