Its Voronoi-structured outer shell, composed of various flat surfaces, is covered with a silver membrane that changes its appearance with the weather and time of day.迎賓館 Guest HouseNatural light, natural ventilation, and natural materials create a space that is both environmentally friendly and comfortable, while stirring the senses and providing guests with Japanese hospitality.オーストラリアパビリオン Australia PavilionCentering on the theme of “chasing the sun,” the pavilion design celebrates the gumnut blossom—a symbol of Australia—and represents the country’s vibrancy and diversity. Aimed at the realization of a sustainable society, the design takes into account the reuse of materials after the Expo and consideration for the environment.住友館 Sumitomo PavilionThe pavilion is inspired and designed like the “peaks of the Besshi Mountains” in Shikoku, the foundation of Sumitomo’s growth. Every last part of the trees from Sumitomo forests is made use of for plywood or other products. Tree-planting experiences help visitors learn about and pass on knowledge of the natural cycles of forest environments.09発注者 :公益社団法人 2025年日本国際博覧会協会|基本設計 : 日建設計実施設計 : 大林組・矢作建設工業JV、日建設計デザイン監修 : 藤本壮介建築設計事務所Client: Japan Association for the 2025 World ExpositionSchematic design : Nikken SekkeiDetailed design: Obayashi Corporation / Yahagi Construction Co., Ltd.
