Kashiwa-no-ha Smart City Innovation Campus wins MIPIM’s BEST FUTURA MEGA PROJECT as a New Vision for Urban Development

Kashiwa-no-ha Smart City Innovation Campus

Kashiwa-no-ha Smart City Innovation Campus, with which we have been involved as a design consultant for urban design guidelines, won the BEST FUTURA MEGA PROJECT Award at MIPIM,* an international real estate event held in Cannes, France in March 2017.

This project aims at the development of an attractive city from a human perspective through the creation of a sustainable and high-quality urban space. As a designer consultant, we have been engaged in the development of an urban design proposal in collaboration with U.S.-based design firm, ZGF Architect LLP. This prize has been awarded to this project which presents a vision of all the possibilities of future town planning, the development of an environmentally-friendly city, and the formation of a community with strong roots in the region.

*MIPIM (Marché International des Professionnels de l'Immobilier) is an international real estate event organized by Reed Midem that has been held every year in March in the city of Cannes, France since 1990.
