Nikken Sekkei Attends the Presentation of the Plans for the New Camp Nou, Home of FC Barcelona

At the Camp Nou on April 21, FC Barcelona unveiled the plans to renew its stadium. Also present were Nikken Sekkei + Pascual - Ausió Arquitectes as the design team that won the international competition for the stadium’s renovation.

As FC Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu, current and former players and coaches, the media, and guests watched attentively, the contents of the plan were unveiled through means including a video introducing the design team, VR, and a model. The proceedings were transmitted live to the whole world from the official website of FC Barcelona. An exhibition was opened from that day in FCB Boulevard for public exhibition of the plans.

Through this renovation, Camp Nou will be reborn as a new sanctuary possessing open and abundant public space that suits the climate of Catalonia, which faces the Mediterranean Sea.
