Mr. Yagi is a product of Kyoto University’s Graduate School of Engineering. His specialties include public space design, civil engineering planning and civil engineering design. He seeks to realize projects rooted in human experience and that are not limited to any particular field. His major projects include Himeji City’s station square and Otemae-dori, restructuring spaces in Midosuji in Osaka City, the Sakuramachi-Hanabata area open space in Kumamoto City, and the Kintetsu Yokkaichi station square and Chuo-dori in Yokkaichi City, among others. His published works include co-author credit for “Public Space Design with Citizens' Participation” (2015) and “Public Design to Revitalize Cities” (2019). He also lectures part-time at Kyoto University’s Faculty of Engineering, Kobe University’s Department of Architecture, and at Osaka City University’s Faculty of Urban Design and Engineering.
