Ms. Takahashi joined Nikken Sekkei Civil Engineering in 2014 after graduating from the Civil Engineering Course in the Faculty of Engineering at Yokohama National University. She has been involved in a number of transportation-related planning projects, principally station plazas and vehicle traffic planning. She has been engaged in redevelopment policy formulation for various types of transportation nodes, from urban railway stations (Yokohama, Shinjuku) to rural central stations (Numazu, Fujisawa). From 2015-2018, she worked at the Nikken Activity Design lab (NAD), participating in Tokyo Metro’s Ginza Line design management, and in projects on rethinking the future of mobility and the value of movement.

Since 2020, she has been a member of the Public Space Design Group, where she works on road space restructuring projects in the cities of Yokkaichi and Yokohama. Ms. Takahashi is pursuing a Ph.D. at Yokohama National University’s Institute of Urban Innovation, conducting research on the relationship between public spaces and transportation planning in order to enrich the urban mobility experience.
