In 1996, after completing his master’s degree at Kogakuin University Graduate School, he joined Nikken Sekkei. Since then, he has been in charge of numerous projects, primarily focusing on medical and welfare facilities and nursing education facilities. As the lead designer for projects such as the Town-run Tazawako Hospital, the Palliative Care Ward at Morioka Red Cross Hospital, and Hoshizuka General Hospital and Polaris College of Health and Nursing, he has received the Medical and Welfare Architecture Award (2004, 2012, 2015) and the Public Architecture Award, among others. Guided by the principles of “foresight, a patient-centered perspective, and passion,” he approaches his design work by valuing communication and maintaining a positive attitude with building owners and hospital staff. He is a First-Class Architect and a healthcare management consultant.
