After completing a master’s degree program at Kobe University, he joined Nikken Sekkei in 1994.From 2001 to 2022, he was employed at Nikken Sekkei Civil. He has been involved in the site development and design of university campuses and railway facilities, as well as seismic performance evaluations, reinforcement design, and renovation design for underground structures related to nuclear facilities, high-pressure gas facilities, railway facilities, port facilities, and underground shopping districts. In recent years, he has also been working on measures to protect earthen structures against heavy rainfall.In his work, he strives to derive rational results while paying close attention to predicting the behavior of ground and structures and evaluating their performance. He has also contributed to the co-authorship of publications such as *Introduction to Performance-Based Design in Geotechnical Engineering* (2012). He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering and is a Certified Professional Engineer (General Engineering: Construction Administration Department, Construction Division).
