In 1993, after completing a master’s program at the Graduate School of Science and Engineering at Nihon University, he joined Nikken Sekkei. His specialty is architectural design.
To date, he has been in charge of projects spanning a wide range of uses and scales, from offices, hotels, broadcasting stations, schools, auditoriums, factories, and mixed-use complexes to guesthouses, religious facilities, and residential buildings. He has also gained experience on projects in cold regions of Japan and overseas, where cultural and climatic conditions differ, thereby broadening the scope of his design expertise.He has received numerous awards, including the Architectural Institute of Japan’s Selected Works Collection, the Japan Institute of Architects’ Selection of Outstanding Architecture, the Japan Federation of Architects and Building Engineers’ Architecture Award, the Library Association Award, and the Watanabe Setsu Award at the Osaka Prefecture Architecture Competition. He is a First-Class Architect, a member of the Architectural Institute of Japan, and a registered architect with the Japan Institute of Architects.
