Seiji Hikita
Director
He completed his master’s degree at Kobe University in 1996 and joined Nikken Sekkei. His specialty is architectural design.
Since joining the firm, I have been involved in a wide range of projects, including offices, station-area redevelopment, vocational schools, and banks; however, in recent years, I have been devoting myself to hotels and hospitals.
Although hospitality and healthcare are fields with completely different characteristics, they share the need to stay attuned to the latest information and require deep specialized knowledge; these projects teach me the importance of interactions with “people” and the value of “time.”
He has received awards from the Architectural Institute of Japan’s Selected Works Collection and the Japan Institute of Architects’ Excellence Award, and is also engaged in environmental architecture. He is a First-Class Architect, a CASBEE evaluator, and a member of both the Architectural Institute of Japan and the Japan Institute of Architects.
