Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I)
At Nikken Sekkei, based on the following “Declaration on Promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I)” published in 2024, we aim to create an environment where all employees can fully utilize their individual strengths.
Declaration on Promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I)
Nikken Sekkei’s fundamental philosophy is to “contribute to society through meaningful work.”
In today’s world, where societal values continue to diversify and evolve, “creating diverse value to address new social challenges” requires an environment where individuals with diverse values, experiences, talents, and lifestyles—regardless of race, nationality, religion, gender, age, disability, gender identity, or sexual orientation—can fully utilize their respective strengths.
With strong commitment from senior management, Nikken Sekkei declares that it will actively promote Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) as a key management strategy. The company will establish quantitative targets and qualitative action plans and will progressively implement appropriate measures.

Implementation Framework
Based on the aforementioned promotion declaration, the company established quantitative goals and qualitative action plans, and in 2025, launched the “DE&I Promotion Office” to serve as the core of our overall DE&I initiatives. The office brings together a diverse group of talent from various specialized fields across both business and administrative divisions, and began operations with a total of seven members.Beyond their departmental affiliations, our members have diverse backgrounds and work styles—ranging from child-rearing and caregiving to foreign nationality and living in rural areas—and we strive to formulate and implement initiatives that leverage these varied values and experiences. In addition, the “DE&I Promotion Council,” chaired by President and CEO, meets four times a year to review progress toward the “Goals for 2030” set by each department, with the aim of establishing appropriate roadmaps and steadily implementing measures to achieve these goals.
