Nikken Sekkei is a company where people are our greatest asset. Guided by our corporate philosophy of “contributing to society through valuable work,” we believe that the health of each and every employee is essential for us to carry out our daily activities with vitality as a group of professionals.Since 2012, based on the following group-wide health policy applicable to all Nikken Group companies, we have been implementing various health promotion initiatives to encourage employees to take charge of their own health.

Health Promotion Measures

Since 2017, our company has formulated a medium-term action plan for “Health Design” and established specific numerical targets for health indicators. We also monitor progress toward these targets and track trends to verify the effectiveness of our health promotion initiatives.
We are actively working to create an environment where employees can work healthily and with peace of mind, as well as to support the health and well-being of our employees (Private). By publicizing our key initiatives as our “Health Management Declaration,” we aim to further improve the health of our employees.

Health Design 26–30: Strategy Map

Under the “Health Design 26-30 Strategy Map,” we will monitor and evaluate progress over time toward achieving the newly established KGIs and KPIs—the specific numerical targets set for the period from 2026 to 2030.This allows us to visualize the degree to which each initiative has taken root and the progress made in improving health levels.”

The various initiatives outlined in “Health Design 26–30” will be implemented from a health management perspective, as they ultimately serve to enhance the vitality of Private and the company.
While continuing to promote “Health Design” activities, this year we will place particular emphasis on the following:

Obtaining Certification as a Company with Excellent Health Management Practices

Nikken Sekkei has been certified as a “Health Management Excellence Corporation 2026 (Large Corporation Category)” by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Japan Health Conference. In this certification, the company received high praise for its efforts to address health issues, particularly regarding “embedding health management practices throughout the organization” and “laying the groundwork for health management through the implementation of systems and measures, as well as improving lifestyle habits.”

Working Conditions, Labor-Management Relations

At Nikken Sekkei, in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement concluded with the employees’ union, we recognize the right of union members to legitimately exercise their right to organize, the right to collective bargaining, and other rights prescribed by law. To ensure that employees can fully utilize their abilities Private and work with pride, we hold regular management-labor councils and strive to improve employment and working conditions and foster smooth labor-management relations.Furthermore, we are working to improve productivity by fostering dialogue with clients and business partners, while consolidating and sharing the technical expertise and know-how accumulated through the use of IT.

Mechanisms for Improving the Workplace Environment

Nikken Sekkei has established a “Complaints Handling Committee” to ensure prompt and fair handling of complaints regarding evaluation, compensation, and similar matters at Private.
In addition, to resolve issues related to the office work environment and to consider employee requests, we hold Environmental Improvement Roundtables (chaired by the representative of the regional office in charge) at our offices in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Kyushu, and Hokkaido, striving to create a workplace environment that is comfortable for our employees.
