Talent Development
At Nikken Sekkei, we respect each employee's career plan in order to respond to the diversification of specialization, roles within the company, and work style options. To achieve "the right person in the right place" and ensure fair treatment commensurate with job function and duties, we promote strategic human resource management based on our unique personnel policy.
Approach to Talent Management
At Nikken Sekkei, we position human resource management as "a system that embodies the Nikken Group philosophy," and we systematically manage the process from recruitment to training and career development, supporting the skill development and growth of each and every employee.
To ensure that new employees can smoothly adapt to the organization and their work, we are enhancing our onboarding measures and implementing a phased, practical training program through a tutor system, departmental technical training, and on-the-job training (OJT).

Human resource development system
At Nikken Sekkei, we support each employee in proactively considering and shaping their own career path. In addition to annual goal-setting and mid- to long-term evaluations and dialogue, we promote the growth and career development of our employees through “Career Design Communication” (Private).
In our education and training programs, we strive to enhance training aimed at acquiring foundational knowledge and skills, while also establishing a system that allows Private to independently select the skills they need based on their career design. We are also working to systematize on-the-job training (OJT); we have established a process whereby, at the start of a project, staff members, managers, and project chiefs share the experience and skills to be gained through that project, and at the end of the project, they confirm the degree to which those goals were achieved.
Furthermore, we view voluntary initiatives such as co-creation with external parties and external activities as important experiences that contribute to the growth of Private, and have established a system that allows employees to allocate a certain amount of time to these activities.

Education and training system
At Nikken Sekkei, in addition to on-the-job training (OJT), we implement off-the-job training (OFF-JT) through a multifaceted approach, including hierarchical training, elective and volunteer-based training, programs led by in-house and external instructors, and the use of both online and offline formats. Through these measures, we support employees' proactive learning and professional development, and are committed to strengthening our human capital.
