Exhibition at Nikken Sekkei Gallery: Introduction of the Rail Corridor, Singapore – An Inspired and Extraordinary Community Space

A Nikken Sekkei Led Team awarded Master Planners for: The ‘Rail Corridor – An Inspired and Extraordinary Community Space’ RFP by Singapore’s Urban Redevelopment Authority, URA. The Rail Corridor RFP asked for a master plan to transform the 24km long former railway line that stretches from Tanjong Pagar Railway Station in the south to Woodlands Checkpoint in the north from a utilitarian functional corridor into an inspired public space spanning the country, and for specific design solutions for 10 key nodes along its length.
Through this exhibition, we would like to introduce the Rail Corridor Project and to help foster discussion toward the improvement of public spaces in Japan and Singapore.

This exhibition is registered for the 50th Anniversary of Singapore-Japan Diplomatic Relations (SJ50) project.
