NIKKEN SEKKEI at WAFVirtual 2020

Since the annual World Architecture Festival will be postponed to June 2021, this 2020 edition will be held online in its digital format called WAFVirtual. From the 30th of November to the 4th of December, registrants can engage in a week that promises to be the must-attend virtual architecture festival in the world.

During this week of live talks, special prizes, panel discussions and networking, Nikken Sekkei will participate as a panelist on the 3rd of December from 20:30 GMT to 21:10 GMT. Nikken Sekkei Executive Officer, Mr. Tadahiko Murao, and Nikken Sekkei Senior Manager of the Global Business Development Management Department, Mr. Jan Henckens will be introducing the topic “Exploring and Understanding the Business of Architecture”, an occasion for attendees to broaden their view and knowledge on the practical aspect of design.

WAFVirtual sections are divided in:

-　Talks and Panel Discussions, covering different topics, from ‘Living with Pandemics’ to business, books, emerging architects, product development and technical innovation;

-　Networking, connecting participants and attendees with other architects from across the world through virtual round-table sessions, workshops and online networking;

-　WAF’s Special Prizes including the WAF and PechaKucha ‘Isolation Transformed’ competition, The Architecture Drawing Prize, and the GROHE Water Research Prize.

“Exploring and Understanding the Business of Architecture” will take place on the 3rd of December 2020, from 20:30 to 21:10 (JST) / 11:30－12:10（GMT）
