Nikken Sekkei Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo; President and CEO: Atsushi Ohmatsu; hereinafter “Nikken Sekkei”) will host the “OIRONAOSHI Exhibition,” showcasing the work of interior designers, at the Nikken Sekkei Tokyo Building for approximately two months, from Monday, November 11, 2024, to Friday, December 27, 2024. In order to deliver higher-quality design proposals, Nikken Sekkei merged with Nikken Space Design, a Nikken Sekkei Group company, effective April 1 of this year. This exhibition will showcase the wide-ranging portfolio of Nikken Space Design—which has long focused on interior design as its core business—including interior designs for various applications and product designs, thereby introducing a new facet of Nikken Sekkei.

About the OIRONAOSHI Exhibition
Whether in new or old buildings, applying fresh design to spaces and elements can create a unique character for a place and generate new added value. This is the essence of the work carried out by the interior designers of Nikken Sekkei’s Space Design Group. In this exhibition, we present a track record of projects—ranging from small objects to large spaces—that have moved people’s hearts. We invite you to explore a variety of projects born from this “refresh”—a process of reimagining spaces—along with the creative thinking behind them. We hope you will gain an appreciation for the value that can be achieved by “designing spaces” together with our highly creative team of designers.

You’ll Do a Double Take! Our Tokyo Headquarters Building Looks Different Than Usual! Experience the Design Firsthand Through an Installation.
On the first floor of the Nikken Sekkei Tokyo Building—where the interior is clearly visible from the street through the glass—we typically host gallery exhibitions featuring our projects and new solutions. During the “OIRONAOSHI Exhibition,” the Space Design Group has given our usual office space a fresh new look. We are opening the space up to the second floor as a gallery. We hope you’ll enjoy a visit that’s a little different from the usual.

Nikken Sekkei's "Interior Design." Experience the sense of scale through completion videos and actual photos.
The designers at Space Design Group create everything people see and touch, as well as every space they visit. This includes furniture and faucets with sophisticated designs; art that enhances spaces; and truly efficient workspaces. Public spaces that foster communication and vitality. We listen to our clients’ challenges and collaborate with them to create these spaces, which we showcase through completion videos and physical exhibits.
