NBF Osaki Building

A research and development-oriented office that consolidates the company’s technology development departments. The “Bio-Skin” on the façade is the world’s first cooling system inspired by the traditional Japanese practice of “uchimizu” (sprinkling water on the ground). By circulating stored rainwater through ceramic tube louvers—which also serve as balcony railings—and utilizing the heat of vaporization to cool the surrounding air, the system effectively reduces the building’s air-conditioning load.
