Motohiko Hirose joined Nikken Sekkei in 1991 after graduating from Kyoto University’s Graduate School of Engineering (Architecture). He has been involved in a wide range of public and private sector projects, from urban and regional masterplans to public-private partnership projects, urban planning and developments. His various domestic projects include renewal efforts in Kansai such as Umekita Phase 2 Development, urban planning along Tenjin Meiji-dori Street in Fukuoka, and redevelopment projects in Toyota city’s Ekimae-dori Street and Kumamoto's Sakura-machi district. He provides solutions for various issues related to the hardware and software of architectural and urban spaces. He is a professional engineer (construction/urban and regional planning) and a member of the URCA (Urban Renewal Coordinator Association of JAPAN).
