In 1989, after completing his studies at the Graduate School of Engineering at Kyoto University, he joined Nikken Sekkei. Since then, he has gained extensive experience in urban planning and urban development projects, primarily in the Osaka and Kyushu regions. He has particularly deep expertise in transportation planning related to urban infrastructure, as well as the planning of station-front and underground spaces. He has contributed to the creation of spaces that meet the needs of the times, such as the development of a pedestrian-oriented plaza at the north entrance of Himeji Station and the realization of Japan’s first bus transit mall. He is a Certified Professional Engineer (Urban and Regional Planning).
