In 2003, he completed his master’s degree at Hokkaido University Graduate School. After joining Nikken Sekkei, he engaged in consulting work—ranging from development concepts to urban planning and urban infrastructure development—for urban development projects (including private-sector urban development and statutory redevelopment projects) in a variety of locations, such as Shibuya, Shinjuku, Osaki, Nagoya, Uchisaiwaicho, and Tsukiji. In recent years, he has expanded his consulting practice to include areas such as the revitalization of existing real estate stock, the utilization of public spaces such as waterfront areas, and town planning that incorporates next-generation mobility and ICT.
