Tetsuto Furuhata

Tetsuto Furuhata joined Nikken Sekkei after completing studies at Waseda University’s graduate school of architecture in 1988, whereupon he engaged in architectural planning and projects of various sizes and purposes. For the Land Axis Tower in Saitama New Urban Center, he was in charge of owner’s representative services from competition, throughout the design, construction, management, and operational phases, as well as urban and architectural planning for central city redevelopment projects and large-scale former factory sites. In 2007, he became General Manager of the Management Planning Section, and in 2009 became General Manager of the Architectural Design Department, where he facilitated operations and personnel management. He has headed the Corporate Communications Dept. since 2015, the President's Office since 2022, and has served as Corporate Planning Group Representative since 2023 and Corporate Communcations Center Representative since 2026. He is a first-class registered architect and a Project Management Professional (PMP).
