Tetsuto Furuhata

Tetsuto Furuhata joined Nikken Sekkei after completing studies at Waseda University’s graduate school of architecture in 1988, whereupon he engaged in architectural planning and projects of various sizes and purposes. He has been in charge of owner’s representative services from competition to the design, construction, management, and operational phases of the Land Axis Tower in Saitama New Urban Center, as well as urban and architectural planning for redevelopment projects in the central city area and large-scale former factory sites. In 2007, he became General Manager of the Management Planning Section, and in 2009 became General Manager of the Architectural Design Department, where he facilitated operations and personnel management. He has headed the Corporate Communications Section since 2015, the President's Office since 2022, and has taken his current position since 2023. He is a first-class registered architect and PMP (Project Management Professional).
