Tetsuto Furuhata

In 1988, after completing his graduate studies in architecture at the Waseda University, he joined Nikken Sekkei. He has been involved in architectural planning and design projects of various scales and for a wide range of uses.He provided owner’s consulting services for the Land Axis Tower in Saitama New Town—from the design competition through to design, construction, and the launch of management and operations—and was responsible for architectural planning for downtown redevelopment projects and urban planning for large-scale former factory sites.In 2007, he became Head of the Corporate Planning Office; in 2009, as Assistant to the Head of Architectural Design Department, he assisted with the management of operations and personnel at Architectural Design Department. In 2015, he became Head of the Public Relations Office; in 2022, Head of the President and CEO; in 2023, Representative of the Corporate Planning Group; and in 2026, he concurrently assumed the role of Representative of the Corporate Communication Center. He is a First-Class Architect and a PMP.
