In 2006, after completing a master’s program at Tokyo University of the Arts, he joined Nikken Sekkei.His specialty is architectural design. For “On the Water,” he received the Architectural Institute of Japan Project Selection Award, the Tokyo Architecture Award Grand Prize in the Single-Family Housing Category, the Japan Federation of Architects’ Associations Excellence Award, the Marronnier Architecture Award Grand Prize, the Teiji Suzuki Award Grand Prize, and selection for the Japan Institute of Architects’ Outstanding Architecture Selection, among others.For the concept of a timber-framed supertall building, “W350 Plan,” he received the MIPIM/Architectural Review Future Project Awards Sustainability Prize, among other honors. His private residence, “The House in Zenpukuji,” was selected for the Architectural Institute of Japan’s Collection of Selected Works and the Japan Institute of Architects’ Selection of Outstanding Architecture, and has been featured in GA HOUSES and the “Residential Architecture” special issue of Shinkenchiku. He is a member of the Architectural Institute of Japan and the Japan Institute of Architects.
