Masafumi Sekine

In 1991, after graduating from the Waseda University, he joined Nikken Sekkei. He has been responsible for designing electrical systems for a wide range of facilities, including office buildings, research laboratories, medical and welfare facilities, educational institutions, manufacturing facilities, and sports facilities. He has also been involved in consulting related to the development of urban energy infrastructure, ensuring resilience, the utilization of IoT, and the adoption of renewable energy.Since 2023, as CIO, he has been working to formulate and promote the company’s digital transformation (DX) strategy and build a digital workplace. Starting in 2024, as Head of Sustainability Promotion, he will be responsible for planning initiatives and managing progress regarding Nikken Sekkei’s contributions to a decarbonized society through its business operations.
