Mitsuhiko Imai

Graduated from the Graduate School of Design and Engineering at Kyushu University. Joined Nikken Space Design in 2009. Transferred to Nikken Sekkei following a merger in 2024. Engaged in a wide range of design work, from interior design across various genres to collaborating with manufacturers on product development. He specializes in concept development through flexible thinking and in creating spaces with new value that are not bound by existing concepts. He has received numerous awards both domestically and internationally, including the IDA (USA) Gold Award, the Kyoto Design Award Grand Prize, and the Good Design Award.
