In 1983, after graduating from the Department of Architecture at Waseda University, he joined Tokyu Corporation (now Tokyu). He was in charge of joint projects integrating railways and development, such as Shibuya Mark City, Coredo Nihonbashi, and Futako-Tamagawa Rise.
In 2008, he joined Nikken Sekkei. He focused his work on planning studies for integrated station-town development. In 2013, he co-authored “The Next Phase of Public Transportation-Oriented Urban Development” (a+u Special Supplement).The book has also been translated and published in China, Russia, and other countries. He provides planning proposals and consulting services regarding station and urban development in conjunction with the rapid expansion of urban rail construction in Chinese cities grappling with traffic congestion issues. He is a First-Class Architect.
