Shigeru Yokoo

After graduating from Waseda University's Department of Architecture and Architectural Engineering in 1983, Mr. Yokoo joined the Tokyu Corporation taking part in the planning and project management of Shibuya Mark City, JP Tokyu Meguro Bldg., COREDO Nihonbashi, Futako-Tamagawa Rise, Pan Pacific Hotel San Diego (currently the Westin Hotel), among others. In 2008 he joined Nikken Sekkei becoming the TOD Planning Department General Manager in 2017. He participates in and promotes integrated infrastructure and development plans for railways, train stations, and their surroundings in major cities throughout Japan, China, and other ASEAN countries. Mr. Yokoo strives to incorporate the sensitivities of business owners and make proposals geared toward creating comfortable, vibrant, and highly sensitized cities based on the principles of TOD for urban development.
