Takuya Asakawa
Director
After graduating from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Osaka Institute of Technology, he worked for a facilities subcontractor before joining Nikken Sekkei in 2009.
Since then, he has been responsible for domestic and international projects in the field of mechanical equipment design, including hospitals, research institutes, universities, corporate headquarters, production facilities, and DHC plants. He has worked at both the Tokyo headquarters and the Osaka office for approximately 10 years each. In recent years, in addition to building design, he has been
digital design using BIM (Building Information Modeling), and is taking on the challenge of creating new design methodologies that seamlessly integrate design considerations—such as carbon neutrality and life-cycle design—from the early design stages through to the operational phase.
