A World-Class Research Facility Originating in Japan
A campus aiming to become an educational and research institution of “world-class standards.” The plan places the highest priority on the strong interconnections between people, society, and nature, and positions the residential zone near existing settlements with a view to fostering relationships with the surrounding community. Furthermore, to avoid disrupting the natural ecosystem, the valley has been preserved, and buildings are arranged along the ridgeline in accordance with the contour lines.
