Taro Shimada

After completing his master’s degree at Kobe University Graduate School in 1993, he joined Nikken Sekkei. He has been involved in the design of projects across a wide range of sectors, including offices, banks, research facilities, educational facilities, and sports facilities. Since 2010, he has been responsible for cost management on various projects. In addition to formulating procurement strategies based on analysis of the construction market, conducting value engineering, and providing support for price negotiations, he is working to enhance project value through initiatives such as managing GHG emissions generated by construction. He is a First-Class Registered Architect.
