Tatsuya Murai joined Nikken Sekkei in 1990 after completing his master’s degree at Tokyo University of Science and specializes in architectural design. He has been tasked with a wide variety of architectural design projects, including cultural facilities, hotels, financial buildings, research centers and exposition venues, etc. For three years starting in 2011, he was stationed in Shanghai, where he headed large-scale projects. He is currently in charge of research facilities, production and logistics facilities, airport and transportation facilities and data centers. He also oversees the Nagoya-based Architectural Design Group, and is responsible for a wide variety of projects. He is a first-class registered architect, and holds memberships in both The JIA (Japan Institute of Architects) the AIJ (Architectural Institute of Japan).
