Toyoichiro Suzuki

In 2001, after graduating from the Department of Architecture in the Faculty of Engineering at Chubu University, he worked at an architectural design firm in Nagoya. He has been with Nikken Sekkei’s Nagoya Office since 2005. His specialty is architectural design. He has a wide range of domestic and international experience, including offices, hotels, financial institutions, research facilities, junior high schools, sports arenas, welfare facilities, and the expansion and renovation of art museums.In 2010, after being transferred to the Tokyo headquarters, he worked on large-scale projects in China, including the China Construction Bank Fujian Branch and the Suzhou Center. In 2014, he was transferred back to the Nagoya Office, where he was responsible for the DENSO Global Training Center “AQUAWINGS” project, for which he received the BCS Award and the Lighting Design Award.In 2025, the luxury hotel “Espacio Nagoya Castle” was completed. By discerning the charm of a location, drawing out the client’s latent needs, and prioritizing empathy throughout the design process, he aims to evoke emotion through architecture. He is a First-Class Architect, a member of the Architectural Institute of Japan, and a committee member of the Tokai Branch of the Japan Architectural Association.
