Bon Voyage - A hotel surrounded by the sea, evoking the feeling of a sea voyage -
The hotel boasts an overwhelming location surrounded by the sea on three sides, with a luxury cruise ship docked directly opposite the guest rooms at the pier where the hotel stands. The design aims to engage all five senses, based on the theme of "fluctuations" such as sea breeze, water surface, sunlight, gas lamps, and city illuminations. At the entrance, guests are greeted by an iconic spiral staircase that evokes the feeling of setting sail, along with art that expresses the wind of Yokohama, and are led to the second-floor lobby, which opens up like the deck of a ship. The interior design incorporates dynamic, streamlined shapes that evoke ships and waves, based on the concept of elegant travel. The guest rooms are designed to evoke terraces where guests can feel the sea breeze through large, open windows, and the open connections, light, wind, and scent further stimulate the five senses of the guests.
