Kosuke Sato

In 1996, after completing a master’s degree at the Waseda University, he joined Nikken Sekkei.In addition to large-scale buildings such as Otemachi One (Kyobashi Edogrand) and Futako-Tamagawa Rise (Tokyu Plaza Ginza), he strives to create environmental designs integrated with architectural design, as exemplified by projects such as the Shogakukan Building (recipient of the ASHRAE Technology Award, First Place & Award of Engineering Excellence, and the Japan Society of Heating, Air-Conditioning and Sanitary Engineers Technical Award) and the Nagasaki Prefectural Government Government Building (recipient of the Japan Society of Heating, Air-Conditioning and Sanitary Engineers Award for the Promotion of Technology).At the same time, he is committed to nurturing young professionals outside the field, having served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Tokyo (2014–2017) and as a part-time lecturer at Tokyo University of Science. He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering, is a Certified Professional Engineer (Sanitary Engineering), and is a First-Class Architect specializing in building systems design.
