Shintaro Takayanagi joined Nikken Sekkei after graduating from Keio University's Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology in 1992. Since then, he has been responsible for electrical equipment designs in large-scale redevelopment projects, hospitals, data centers, etc. His project portfolio includes Tokyo Midtown, the National Center for Child Health and Development, and telecommunications carrier data centers, where he has designed highly reliable electrical equipment systems where business continuity plans are considered. In recent years, he has also participated in overseas projects in the Middle East and in southeast Asia, where his achievements include the Vietnam Army Broadcasting Center (TV broadcasting center) and the VNTA Office (offices and data center). He holds licenses as a Class 1 building equipment engineer and a professional engineer (electrical/electronic).
