Mr. Takayanagi joined Nikken Sekkei in 1992, specializing in electric system design, after graduating from Keio University. He is responsible for system designs in a variety of buildings ranging from large-scale complex facilities to data centers, hospitals, and laboratories. In recent years, he has worked on the The National Institute of Metrology (2001, Bangkok), the National Center for Child Health and Development (2004, Tokyo), Merrill Lynch Tokyo Headquarters (2005, Tokyo ) Tokyo Midtown (2007, Tokyo ), Itochu Techno-solutions Yokohama Technical Center (2013, Yokohama), Vietnam Telecommunication Authority Headquarters (planned for 2019, Hanoi), among other projects. He is careful in his work to give particular consideration to system reliability and building continuity in disasters (BCP) focusing on mission critical facilities.
