Takahiro Oka

Graduated from the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Kyoto University in 2005; joined Nikken Sekkei after completing his graduate studies at Kyoto University in 2007. His specialty is architectural design.He possesses a broad range of expertise spanning various uses, scales, details, and environmental technologies—from public facilities (art museums) and research facilities to schools, offices, hotels, and large-scale mixed-use developments. He values dialogue throughout the design process and strives to create architecture grounded in human behavior.
Notable projects include Niihama City, Akagane Museum (Niihama City Art Museum), DAIKIN Technology and Innovation Center, Rokko Gakuin Junior and Senior High School, Doshisha Kindergarten, and GRAND GREEN OSAKA (Umekita Phase 2 Development).
Recipient of awards including the Architectural Institute of Japan’s 2023 Selected Works Collection Newcomer Award, the JIA Outstanding Architecture Selection’s Environmental Architecture Award, and the Nikkei New Office Award.
